Pont des Arts


Paris claims two names: “La Ville Lumiere” and “La Ville d’Amour”. It offers visual stimulation, intimate venues, cute hotels, the expectations brought by excited visitors and a culture of “seduction”, a word with more positive connotations in French than in English. Such love can be both beautiful and profane, viewed from, say, Pigalle or the Pont des Arts.
