The Star of Concorde 1 - 5
I love the florid street architecture of Paris. The city has been “dressed” by its creators from age to age, often daringly, according to an aesthetic that mixes up styles, layering one on the other over the centuries. The Great Wheel - La Grande Roue, however, is very new and not so much to my taste. Luckily it is nomadic, only staying in this spot for the holidays. I found the play of shapes between it and the lamp on the Pont Alexandre III bridge an irresistible contrast. The soft focus let me, in good conscience, blend the younger light into a restrained relation with its older cousin.
