Remembering
Anyone my age remembers where they were when Neil Armstrong set foot on the moon, when Mohammed Ali Rumbled In The Jungle with George Foreman and when the last helicopter lifted off the roof of the American Embassy in Saigon.
Younger people will still have the image of the flaming steeple of Notre Dame falling into the nave imprinted on their visual memories.
All of us still carry the shock of watching the horror of 9/11.
New Jersey honours its 746 citizens lost in the catastrophe in this dignified memorial in Liberty State Park, Jersey City. It was a touching honour to be able to photograph it one dawn in the Spring of 2025.
